C&M Restoration received the 2018 Honor Award for Excellence from the Kansas Preservation Alliance for the masonry restoration of the St. Joseph German Catholic Church in Topeka, KS
Our firm was proud to serve as the masonry restoration contractor for the award-winning exterior restoration of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In 2018, the Kansas Preservation Alliance honored the church with its Honor Award for Excellence, recognizing the outstanding preservation efforts completed on this iconic historic structure.
Our scope of work focused on comprehensive restoration of the building’s masonry envelope. This included full repointing of all mortar joints, meticulous cleaning, and patching of the red brick, cut limestone, and richly detailed red sandstone that define the church’s façade. In addition, stone consolidation treatments were applied to stabilize deteriorated masonry and protect against further damage caused by environmental exposure.
